Halloween & Bonfire Night Safety Reminder

As Halloween and Bonfire Night approach, please take a few simple steps to keep yourself, your family, and your community safe.

Halloween

Make sure children are visible by carrying a torch and wearing bright or reflective clothing.

Stay with friends, stick to well-lit areas, and be aware of traffic when out trick-or-treating.

Only visit homes where you feel welcome and respect those who do not wish to take part.

Bonfire Night

Attend organised firework displays wherever possible.

Keep a safe distance from fireworks and bonfires, and follow the instructions provided.

Never return to a firework once it has been lit.

Keep pets indoors and ensure children are supervised at all times.

If you witness anti-social behaviour or have concerns about someone's safety, please report it to the police. In an emergency, always call 999.

Have a fun, safe, and enjoyable Halloween and Bonfire Night!
